A nervous sidle as she danced on her toes, eyes and ears on him as he made a move. The offering was interesting... while she wasn't from the settlements, she was a native to the Skald's work, even if she herself wasn't all that sure what that meant the way the villagers touted. Her kind did not participate in the acts of leaving parcels for strangers to find. Her kind only acknowledged the sudden appearance of things where things were not there before.

She wouldn't know what to do with the clothes he tried to leave her. The food, perhaps, if she would bother with it to find it. Her nose great but lures were lures indeed. Her ears flopped to and fro regarding his words, watching him carefully and with much confusion. His approach didn't drive her further away at least, but there was a secret line only she saw concerning it and if he crossed it she'd simply step back to keep him from being on the wrong side of it. For now though, they were both fine, especially as he seemed to be considering backing up to camp again, his invitation hanging in the air as awkwardly as he had said that last statement. Scent?

It was at that point that Zhaki gave up, popping the corks back into his bottles and throwing a blanket over Ben before settling down himself. It didn't look at all comfortable, him pulling his shirt off and rolling it up to make some poor excuse for a pillow. He lay on his back, staring up at the stars blankly, close enough to the fire that his other side would hardly feel the biting wind as well. Whatever the outsider did, it wasn't his business. Though he did wish he could ask why exactly he or she had been watching them, and why they stayed near even after being chased. He fell asleep fairly quickly, expecting Ben to take first watch as they had agreed earlier.

Ben began to edge away from Zhaki after deciding he was asleep, shaking the blanket off himself and tossing it onto Zhaki. He stood, shifting back into what resembled a man again and pulled on his spare clothes. Then he spoke to the outsider without even turning to face her direction. "You seem to like watching this spot, take over for me, then." He yawned widely and took off in the opposite direction, no intention of circling back or even checking on Zhaki for awhile. It appeared the wolfman left his partner at the mercy of whoever was watching them, but he knew better than that.

Except Faereni wasn't a creeper enough to continue her curious while people were sleeping. She would have more efficiently used that time to disappear back to her herd. When his shape changed from standing to laying she would start backing away, at least until Ben had jumped up from his position. Ben the Chaser.

And now she was frozen in place, her attention scrutinizing him and his changes as he spoke and left, her wary instincts telling her to abandon and hurry back to her herd... and stay on alert for him coming from a blind spot. A step back in the opposite direction of the camp and the wolfman's departure. Then another. Then she turned and leaped twice to get some distance, to encourage beasts out of hiding in case the ambush was still in progress by making them think they were losing their chance, before falling into a floating trot back toward where her herd might have moved to, ears in radar-mode to catch any noises that could signify that she was being followed or in disturbance of something else.

It was not entirely clear what made her curious to watching them for the moment. Camps were not uncommon, though still strange when she encountered them. The strange and scattered packages that the people left in the name of lore, a response to the surprise appearances of things that were not there before were probably more interesting by that fact alone... but the interactions, their way of speaking, all of that held her attention. It could be assumed she was yearning to be like them... but that was not really the case. She wasn't sure what she wanted, if she wanted anything at all.
